In addition to the above services, students in their final term will also have access to our online database upon completion of an initial advising session.

Cooperative Education Program

The Co-op program is one way students can pursue part-time, education-related employment while they are in school. While we make every effort to assist in finding such a position, there is no guarantee of attaining a co-op job. No academic credits are given for the experience.

To join the co-op program, a student must:

  • Have 12 hours of DeVry credits completed.
  • Be a full-time DeVry student.
  • Have and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Complete an enrollment form (available in the Career Services office).
  • Complete online registration in the InterfaCE database, including uploading a resume.

Employer requirements:

  • Provide a paid, part-time, education-related job with a minimum 20 hours per week schedule which does not interfere with the student's school schedule.
  • There is no obligation on the part of the employer to hire the co-op student on a permanent basis after graduation.
  • However, we have many students who convert their co-op jobs into full-time employment.

The following services are also available to DeVry Co-op Students:

  • Career Guidance
  • Creating a job search strategy
  • Advising on job search tools (resume, cover letters, etc.)
  • Sample job seeking tools (resume, cover letters, etc.)

Free Resources: (For job search related activities only.)

  • Postage
  • Faxing
  • Phones for local and long-distance use

Students who are actively enrolled in the Co-op program will have access to our online database.
